I have both iPhone and iPod Touch, and found some useful app relate to diet foods:
1. Daily Calorie Calculator (Web App from Treb Inc.)
A beautiful and simple interface to calculate the amount of calories you are supposed to consume in a given day. It also provides suggestions of how many calories that you must consume to lose weight while still remaining healthy.
The Daily Calorie Intake Calculator is based on the Harris Benedict Formula which bases intake on your age, height, weight, gender, and exercise level.
As it makes suggestions on how to lose weight by cutting calories, this tool is great for people looking to start dieting or personal training.

3. iFitness (New!)
iFitness is our solution for expensive personal trainers at your local gym.
Performing an exercise incorrectly is harmful to your body, and repeating the same few exercises you know will never push you forward – that is why iFitness is so handy.
+ over 110 fully illustrated exercises with accompanying text
+ favorites option to create your own custom routine
+ preset routines that our experts have made for reaching different goals
+ exercises organized by the muscles they target
A comprehensive exercise database that provides clear instructions and pictures– all within the palm of your hand. Regular exercise is essential for becoming and staying fit. Experts recommend changing your workout routine regularly to keep your body from growing accustomed to the same old routine and to keep things interesting and enjoyable. Personal trainers can be costly though, and attempting a new exercise without assistance can lead to strain or an ineffective workout. iFitness is the solution to both problems.
iFitness provides images of real people performing 100 exercises, and categorizes them by the body region that each exercise targets. Simply choose a target, tap on an exercise, and you are presented with a picture of someone performing the exercise. Tap a button to flip the image and reveal clearly worded instructions on the back – directing you step-by-step. Tap the button once more, and you return to your image. Beautifully designed, iFitness looks and functions as a real iphone/ipod application should. Exercises range from using free weights, cables, machines, exercise balls and even no equipement!
